Okay... good idea and all, but there's this guy who does standby every week, Louis, and he's DEFINETLY not going to let someone who hasn't been standing in line for the actual standby ticket to get into the line for the show on saturday night.
People try this ALL the time and Louis just tells one of the NBC pages to not let them in.
TRUST ME. I've done SNL standby plenty of times and I've seen people try stuff like this. It hasn't worked once.
It you really want tickets just show up at noon on friday... the tickets are handed out at 7am on saturday. If you show up at that time then you have about 90% chance of getting in.
If my friend waits on the standby line for 24 hours and gets a standby ticket on Sat morning, can he give me the ticket for the show. (Thats a real friend) - Do they check ID ?

No, because everyone in line will notice if you haven't been there. It's not about ID or anything, it's just the fact that people don't like it when someone gets in who hasn't taken all that time to stand in line. Some guy tried that when I was there last December and all the rest of the standbys got mad. Someone told Louis, Louis told NBC, NBC didn't let them in.
It's kinda a fair/unfair issue.... after that long in line people get a little cranky.

How's this for a change of pace, ticket gurus ... I will swap title to the domain name "BestTicket.net" OR "BestTickets.net" for a nice pair of SNL tickets for Saturday Night, April 5th. These are valuable domain properties which are currently appraised at $720 each.
Or ... add $600 cash to the SNL tickets and I'll give you title to "TicketsTonight.com," curently appraised at $2,440.
I'm taking my son to NY for his 17th birthday and the smile the SNL tickets will bring is worth parting with one of these prized domain names.

Hey everyone,
The SNL e-mail lottery does work! My roomate got picked for a live taping. But here's my question. They sent us a voice mail and e-mailed instructions on how to pick up the tickets.
Does anyone know if they will be checking ID when you pick up the tickets? She works random hours and if she can't make it I would still like to go but I'm afraid that I won't be able to get the tickets because they aren't under my name. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!
